We are honored to have worked on many great projects over the years. Click the photos below to learn more.
2023-2024: Cascadia Motion needed a demonstration vehicle to showcase their newly announced iDM375 integrated differential-motor-inverter module, as well as their MiniModule battery system and BMS. We paired those with a AEMEV VCU200, PDU-8, and 2 dash displays. CARTERM was responsible for the wire harness design, build, vehicle integration, and dash display layouts, as well as HV PDU design consulting.
2021-2024: Partnering with EVDrive, Palatov Motorcport started work on a new creation: a 800V, 400HP monster meant to hide under a vintage Lotus Europa body. CARTERM assisted with battery module assembly, designed and built the wire harness, and designed a dash layout for the AEM CD5 display.
2022-Present: Photon Marine is working to design zero-emissions electric outboard motors. CARTERM designed, built, and installed the wire harnesses in both their "Guppy" proof of concept and their Stargazer aluminum workboat testbed that debuted at the Miami Internation Boat show.
2021-2022: Arcimoto seeks to revolutionize the e-bike market with a new tilting trike offering that includes 3 motors: one in each wheel, as well a pedal generator to recharge the batteries and command torque. CARTERM designed and built 3 generations of prototype wire harnesses both for the low voltage control system as well as the 52v traction pack power distribution.
2021: Cascadia Motion designed a feature-rich BMS and needs a system to test it. We worked with our partners to build a mobile test cart that contains a BMS, two 400V battery strings (quickly configurable to 800V), an onboard charger and integrated cooling system that fits through a standard doorway. Later, an AEM VCU200, CAN keypad and CD7 display were added to control motors on Cascadia Motion's in-house wheel dyno.
2021-2022: Cascadia Motion needed a test platform for their newly announced iM375 integrated motor-inverter module. A new AWD Ford Transit 350 was converted to FWD and a 120kWh battery was mounted underneight along with the new drive unit, gear reduction unit and differential in the rear. CARTERM designed, built, and installed the wire harnesses along with sourcing and programming multiple CANbus gateways to keep both the OEM system and 2 EV's woth of components all working in harmony.
2021-2022: After the loss of Terrawagen's 24 Hours or Lemons Subaru STi-powered Vanagon, a new Porsche 996 racecar was assembled with the most appropriate choice: an air cooled VW bug engine. CARTERM modified and installed a Painless wire harness to get this car on the track quickly with extra features like rooftop light and airhorn siren.
2020: Cascadia Motion wanted to test a new battery partnership and a prototype iDM190 integrated gearbox-motor-inverter module. A new vehicle was imported and baseline tested, then the batteries were swapped out, the vehicle was converted from FWD to AWD, and the second onboard charger was added. CARTERM was responsible for the wire harness design, build, installation, as well as CANbus gateway integration.
2019: Partnering with EVDrive, CARTERM assisted with battery pack assembly, vehicle wiring and CANbus gateway integration and installation. Hyundai used this vehicle for internal testing of high performance electric drive systems.
2019: Partnering with EVDrive, CARTERM helped with battery pack assembly, installation, vehicle wiring, and CANbus gateway setup and installation. The Webasto Mustang Lithium was showcased in the Ford booth at SEMA 2019.
2019: CARTERM assisted Arcimoto in the sourcing, testing, and programming of their FUV body control modules. These modules control lights, parking brake, heated seats and grips, and wiper system. Prior work for Arcimoto included designing wire harnesses outsourcing wire harness production.
